• Task Force Senior Staff (Starbase 38)

  The Command department is ultimately responsible for the ship and its crew, and those within the department are responsible for commanding the vessel and representing the interests of Starfleet.

  Task Force Commanding Officer		Ultimately responsible for the ship and crew, the Commanding Officer is the most senior officer aboard a vessel. S/he is responsible for carrying out the orders of Starfleet, and for representing both Starfleet and the Federation.
  Task Force Executive Officer		The liaison between captain and crew, the Executive Officer acts as the disciplinarian, personnel manager, advisor to the captain, and much more. S/he is also one of only two officers, along with the Chief Medical Officer, that can remove a Commanding Officer from duty.

  Senior Enlisted Advisor		The Senior Enlisted Advisor or SEA is the senior enlisted person at a command and as such works as a liaison between the commanding officer and the enlisted ranks, serving as the senior enlisted leader. In this capacity, the Senior Enlisted Advisor assists the commanding officer in issues of quality of life, discipline, training, and morale. This position can also be held by a Senior Enlisted Marine at the Sergeant Major level. As a matter of tradition, when a Starfleet Officer commands the Task Force, their Senior Enlisted Advisor is typically a Marine and vice versa.

    Senior Watch Officer		The Senior Watch Officer (or 'SWO') is typically a Commander or Captain (or Marine Equivalent) that is posted to a Starbase following the successful command tour aboard a starship or planetside command. This officer typically has additional training in Strategic Operations, Intelligence, and Tactical Operations. Typically, the SWO is stationed in the Combat Information Center and will brief the Task Force Senior Staff as required.
